NerdSec was built out of a desire for a better solution. If we got frustrated with the existing tools, how would other non-technical small businesses feel? Well, we decided to ask several small businesses "how do you handle cybersecurity?" We found that most businesses were paying more than they wanted.

Another common question we received while interviewing businesses was "Am I doing enough?" That's a difficult question to answer without having intimate knowledge of the business. But we kept digging and decided that if small businesses implemented a few changes, then they would increase their cybersecurity posture by a significant amount.
